At Lyfegen, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Xavier Marcillac as our new Vice President of Sales and Business Development for our Madrid office. With his impressive background in strategy consulting, digital banking, fintech, insurtech, and healthtech, Xavier brings a wealth of expertise to our team.
Born in France and educated in both France and Spain, Xavier has always embraced his bicultural identity, by channeling the best of both cultures into becoming an expert in his profession. Having also spent time living and working in Singapore, Xavier has gained valuable insights into the Asian culture and ways of living, providing him with a broader perception of consumers in the global market.
Xavier holds a degree in International Business Administration from ICADE (Madrid, Spain) and NEOMA Business School (Reims, France), as well as an MBA from IESE in Barcelona. With his passion for selling the value of impactful technologies and his eagerness to learn new technologies and scale new businesses, Xavier has consistently demonstrated his expertise in the field.
When asked about his decision to join Lyfegen, Xavier was quick to point out the company's purposeful mission, niche tech leadership, and great business opportunity in a massive global drug market. He was also drawn to the autonomy he would have in starting and scaling the business in several markets, while looking forward to working with the highly capable and forward-looking co-founder team.

As Vice President of Sales and Business Development for our Madrid office, Xavier is excited about the challenges ahead, particularly when it comes to selling to public entities and designing the Lyfegen value proposition for different stakeholders. With over 20 years of experience selling SaaS platforms and holding positions such as Head of Digitalat health insurance firms, Xavier is vigilant about customer experience, always seeking to resolve pain points and exceed expectations.
When he's not busy with work, Xavier enjoys playing padel, a popular racquet sport in Spain. He also enjoys relaxing with his wife and friends over a good glass of wine – while celebrating his wife's successes and accompanying his kids in their young adult development remains top of his list. And of course, he is eager to start traveling again!
